MARIE WALL
ACTOR

About Me
Marie Wall is an actress, writer and producer based in New York's Hudson Valley.

As a child, Marie spent time in Kiev, Ukraine; Vienna, Austria; Tallin, Estonia and New York City. She speaks multiple languages and credits her international childhood with her ability to embrace the uniqueness of all human beings. Whether acting, producing, or writing, Marie’s work is a constant reflection of this experience.

Her love for performing started at an early age. Marie found joy acting in school plays and was a competitive ballroom dancer as a teenager, specializing in Argentinian Tango. While attending high school in Vienna, Marie starred as ‘Lenore’ in Jil Wooley’s stage adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s classic poem “The Raven”. Inspired by the experience, Marie went on to study theater at American University in Washington DC. From there, she moved to New York City and joined “The Pyramid Group” theater company.
Led by legendary acting coach Nico Hartos, “The Pyramid Group” put on numerous original productions in New York City. Marie credits the coaching and mentorship of Mr. Hartos with her deep appreciation and understanding of the craft of acting, and continued to work closely with him until his passing.
Recently, Marie found joy in directing and writing. She made her directorial debut in August of 2018 with “One Woman’s Journey to Love” a play written by and starring Detra Denise. The following year Marie wrote, produced and performed in “Something Unknown” which was featured in the “Strawberry One- Act Theater Festival” put on by the Riant Theater.

In 2022 Marie began working with the Manhattan Repertory Theatre. She's already appeared in nine productions under the directorship of Ken Wolf including Twisted and Plant Hoe.

You can find Marie with her laptop by the Hudson River, or nestled in her favorite Brooklyn tavern with a few good friends.
